Christy Winters Scott is a basketball color analyst, commentating college basketball games for ESPN, FSN, The Big Ten Network (BTN), NBC Sports Washington and Raycom Sports. She also coached at the Division I level at George Mason, Maryland and Georgetown before returning to her Alma Mater, South Lakes High School as the Girls Head Basketball Coach. Prior to her professional career which included playing professional basketball in Italy and Switzerland where she averaged 37 points and 12 rebounds in her final season, Christy was a prolific scorer, South Lakes Hall of Famer and Washington Post All-Met player before earning a full scholarship to the University of Maryland. She was an All ACC Student-Athlete with 1,679 points and 723 rebounds. She scored 1,785 points, 1,075 rebounds and 492 blocks in High School. She also calls WNBA and NBA games. The Christy Winters Scott Classic in its inaugural year, will include a showcase game for each participating Girls High School Varsity Basketball Team.
